Department of Information Technology:
The latest, best and the evergreen field the
Information Technology is a general term that describes any technology that
helps to produce, manipulate, store, communicate, and/or disseminate
information.
The Department of Information Technology is established in the year
2001-2002. The vision of the Information Technology Department is to
facilitate the students to encompass many aspects of computing and
technology by creating an exposure to the Industry. IT Workshop Laboratory
is present to provide central computing & learning facilities to all the
branches. The above department has established the following laboratories
for effective lab instruction. The department has arranged round the clock
wireless internet, which can be accessed over the campus wide LAN.

“Any presentation or lecture is not complete or effective without a human
element present in it”. With the same spirit faculty members are putting
their utmost efforts in imparting the technical humanitarian education more
effective.
One who is providential is the member of Elite. Elite is the
choice of few who do not get exaggerated by the boom in the industry, nor
are the one who get shattered by the effects of Recession in the industry.
It’s only because of only one factor that is “I will win attitude”.
Elite is an association formed by IT students and faculty members to
conduct various curricular and extra curricular events, with an intention to
shape today’s students as
tomorrow’s
leaders.
On 24th March, 2009 the Elite team
celebrated its 3rd anniversary celebrations. Dr. Dinesh Kumar
Murugesan B.Tech, MBA, PhD, the Executive Manager, Delloitte Support
Services India Pvt. Ltd. was the chief guest on that day. Dr. K.
Subbaratnamaiah, Director Tirumala Engineering College was the Guest of
Honor. Students actively took part in various competitions viz. Sports,
Painting, etc.
An Individual presentation was given on “Blue Tooth Enabled Street Lighting
System” by Mr. Janardhana Rao Yashwanth of B.Tech I year, IT department
under the guidance of Miss. S. Swathi Asst. Professor (IT) of Tirumala
Engineering College
Prizes were distributed to the students taking into consideration the
academic and cultural events. With the great support of the Elite faculty
members the program rolled on with a great memento.
